ABOUT ME
Creative, Passionate, and Socially Minded
At my core, I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. People say that often, but for me it’s not just a phrase — it’s a way of moving through the world. Entrepreneurship isn’t taught in school; it’s something you live. It’s waking up at 3:00 a.m. with ideas you can’t ignore. It’s a MacGyver-like resourcefulness, a curiosity that drives you to learn from everyone and every experience, and an adaptability that keeps you moving forward no matter what. It’s accountability, grit, and — most of all — a refusal to stop working until you find a way.
I believe anyone can work for a company, but not everyone is wired to create one. I’ve done both — worked for myself and for organizations — and in every case I’ve brought my full self to the table. Every time.
What I love most is marketing: the art of building a brand, creating something people want, and helping them understand why they need it. I thrive on collaboration, and I draw energy from working toward ambitious goals with the right people.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles and have traveled extensively through Asia, experiences that shaped my curiosity about people and cultures. Today, I live in rural Reno, Nevada, with my husband and granddaughter on a lively farm of dogs, cats, goats, rescue horses, and chickens — a life I love. To recharge, I head out back to the animals, and if you offered me pasta every day, I’d say yes!
Professionally, my path has been as diverse as my passions: national defense, pharmaceutical drug development, nonprofit leadership, and more. Through it all, I’ve held to the belief that when given the choice between the easy thing and the right thing, you choose what’s right — especially when it’s the hard thing. That belief also guides my role as a foster parent, where I strive to make a difference whenever I can.
The sum of who I am is a reflection of all these experiences. And I’m still learning, still evolving, every single day.
